Maryam Foundation, established in 2021 under the Indian Trust Act of 1882, is committed to improving the lives of vulnerable communities across India. Our primary focus is on enhancing the wellbeing of children, women, seniors, and adults by addressing their health, education, and socio-economic needs. What began as a small initiative in Vadakattupatti, Tamil Nadu, has grown into a transformative force, offering dignity and opportunity to marginalized populations.
Our mission is to transform the lives of underserved communities in India by addressing their most pressing needs and creating opportunities for sustainable growth. With a particular emphasis on supporting underprivileged women and girls, we aim to bridge gaps in access to resources, education, and healthcare while fostering long-term development.
Education is at the heart of our mission. We sponsor schoolchildren by covering tuition fees, providing uniforms, books, and other school essentials, and creating after-school programs that offer academic support and enrichment activities. For young girls, this support helps to break societal barriers and encourages them to pursue their aspirations.
We provide essential resources to marginalized communities, including monthly distributions of food supplies, cooking essentials, and hygiene products. These initiatives ensure that basic necessities are met, particularly for seniors, single mothers, and families in crisis.
Understanding the challenges faced by women in underserved communities, we focus on empowering them through skill development, vocational training, and entrepreneurial support. By equipping women with the tools and knowledge needed to generate income, we help create a ripple effect of economic stability and independence for their families. Additionally, we prioritize healthcare access, organizing medical camps that offer free check-ups, treatments, and medications, along with health education to promote preventive care.
Our Vision is to support small villages such as Vadakattupatti in the Dindigul District of Tamil Nadu, India, by addressing the critical needs of vulnerable populations. We aim to assist senior citizens with no source of income by providing essential cooking supplies, ensuring they have the resources to sustain themselves with dignity.
Additionally, we are committed to meeting the educational needs of underprivileged children in these communities. By providing school essentials such as uniforms, books, and other learning materials, we empower these children to pursue their education and unlock opportunities for a brighter future.
Our efforts focus on fostering a supportive environment where the most vulnerable members of society can thrive.
